Frequently Asked Questions
Cirrus offers a direct relationship with participating dental offices, eliminating the high overhead and hassles of traditional insurance. With traditional insurance, nearly half of what is paid in premiums can be kept by the insurance company to pay its administrators. Over three years, a typical patient will come out nearly $900 ahead compared to a traditional plan!
Cirrus Complete was designed for today’s typical dental patient. Many patients will see no additional cost and will have savings left in their Nest Egg. Both Cirrus options cover common preventive care with no additional cost. However, everyone’s dental needs are unique.
With traditional dental insurance you pay every month, and benefits your employees don’t use expire every year. With Cirrus Complete, you fund a Nest Egg for your employees every month and they use that to pay for only the dental care they need. Additionally, the Nest Egg funds never expire. Since Cirrus is offered directly by participating dental offices, the costly administration and hassle of traditional dental plans is eliminated, saving you money and saving your employees aggravation. Cirrus is easy to understand with no deductibles and no coverage exclusions.
Healthy Mouth Care is preventive care, designed for a typical dental patient. Patients get routine cleanings every six months, bitewing x-rays that can be used to check for cavities every two years, and a full series of x-rays every 5 years.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Patients who receive preventive dental care spend less on dental treatment over their lifetimes than people who only seek dental care when they have a problem.
The Complete Option adds a Nest Egg that grows over time to pay for other dental needs (fillings, crowns, whitening, etc.) Out-of-pocket costs for dental care can be expensive and patients may not have cash to immediately pay for these needs. The Nest Egg allows patients to afford this treatment, many times with no additional out-of-pocket cost.
$30 is added to each employee's Nest Egg each month.

Cirrus keeps costs low through efficient operations. We need to use secure automatic withdrawals from linked checking accounts to reduce the costs to you, which is why a link to your checking account is required.
No, each employee has their own Nest Egg account that is used to pay for their treatment. While there are no limitations on what dental treatment it can be used for, we don't allow an employee to transfer money to another employee's account.
